Hello and welcome to 2 Girls Bookin’ It! We are so pleased that you found our blog and want to hear what we have to say about books that we love, new book finds, and just all things books.
Who are we and why should you follow our book journey? We are Kelli and Chelsea, previous co-workers who have turned into lifelong friends who share many interests - the biggest one being books! We quickly learned when we were first getting to know one another that we both love to read and found each other on Goodreads. We slowly began recommending books to one another, started seriously competing against one another in the Goodreads yearly reading challenge (was it two years in a row that we were both scrambling to finish books before midnight New Year’s Eve??), and found such enjoyment about reading the same books and thoroughly discussing what is happening, what should have happened, or what we would change.
We both have different reading tastes. One of us is all about anything and everything romance, and the other is very eclectic, enjoying romance, self-help, and more…(can you guess who is who as you get to know us??). Through our shared and different reading tastes, we found that we just love to read and talk, talk and read. That is where we came up with 2 Girls Bookin’ It! It is a few years in the making but we made the plunge and here we are!
What can you expect from us? Well, a little bit of everything! We want to share our favorite books with you, our comfort books, what we are currently reading, what books we can’t wait for, and so much more! If we can interest you in trying out a book you wouldn’t have found on your own, we will be so excited and would love to hear about that! If you have a book that just speaks to you and want us to check it out, let us know that too!
